Acacia University World Teachers’ Day Promotional Campaign: Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: October 5, 2026

Applicable Session: 2026 Fall Session 2 (Academic Year 2026-2027)

Application Deadline: October 23, 2026

Session Start Date: October 25, 2026

1. Promotion Overview

In celebration of World Teachers’ Day, Acacia University is offering a special, one-time promotional tuition rate for two specific 3-credit, graduate-level courses:

  • EDC550: Child and Adolescent Development
  • EDA549: School Leadership & Management

Eligible applicants may enroll in either course at a promotional flat-rate tuition of $390.00 per course. In strict compliance with Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) standards regarding tuition discounts, this promotional rate represents an actual reduction of $109.98 per course from the standard Acacia University graduate course tuition rate of $499.98 per 3-credit course. This discount is offered for the specific and bona fide purpose of celebrating World Teachers’ Day. It is exclusively valid for a specified period (the 2026 Fall Session 2) and cannot be applied retroactively to past sessions or deferred to future sessions.

2. General Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the World Teachers’ Day promotional courses, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Proof of Identity: Submission of a valid passport or government-issued ID.
  • Academic Prerequisites: Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The degree must be verified via an original transcript, duly signed and certified by the Registrar (or other responsible officer) of the awarding institution, and sent directly to Acacia University via mail or secure electronic delivery. Applicants with degrees from non-US institutions may be required to submit a transcript evaluation by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member agency.
  • English Language Competency: Applicants whose first language is not English, and who do not hold a bachelor’s degree from a university where instruction was conducted in English, must provide evidence of English proficiency. Accepted exams and minimum scores are:
    • TOEFL (PBT): 60
    • TOEFL (iBT): 71
    • IELTS: 6.5
    • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 50
    • Duolingo English Test: 100
    • Michigan English Test (MET – 4 skill): 55
    • Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE): 650/LP
  • Access to Classrooms: Applicants must confirm access to a physical classroom environment by completing the “Classroom and Connectivity Access” declaration in the university application form.
  • Technology Requirements: Ongoing access to computer technology and a reliable internet connection is required to participate in Acacia University’s online learning environment.

3. Enrollment, Application Categories, and Payment Terms

Because these promotional courses are categorized under “World Teacher’s Day Promotion Campaign” and are subsequently transferable to specific Acacia graduate degree programs, applicants must navigate the admission process according to their current student status:

  • Fresh/New Applicants: May apply directly and enroll via the Graduate Non-Degree Studies application portal for the World Teachers’ Day promotion.
  • Current Students: Students already enrolled in any Acacia University master’s degree program during or prior to the 2026 Fall Session 1 are not eligible for this promotional campaign.
  • Prospective Students (Accepted for 2026 Fall Session 2): Prospective students who have applied and been accepted for a master’s program starting in the 2026 Fall Session 2 are eligible for this promotion. However, they must submit a separate application for Graduate Non-Degree Studies to access the promotional pricing.
  • Payment of Tuition: Applicants will not be charged tuition upon submission of their application. The promotional tuition charge of $390.00 per course will only be assessed and become payable after the student’s application has been formally reviewed and the student is officially accepted by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Fee Transfers and Future Degree Enrollment (For Prospective Students): If you have already paid the application fee and/or tuition for a 2026 Fall Session 2 master’s program, your payments are secure. Here is how your previously paid fees will be handled:
    • No Application Fee Now: The World Teachers’ Day promotion does not charge an application fee, so your previously paid funds will simply remain credited to your student account.
    • Transferring Back to Your Master’s: After successfully completing this promotional course, you must re-apply to your master’s degree program to transfer your credits and resume your degree track from 2027 Spring Session I and onwards.
    • No Double Charging: When you re-apply, you will not have to pay the application fee again. Additionally, the master’s tuition you already paid will automatically be counted toward your future master’s tuition fees.

4. Transferability of Credits

Internal Transferability (Acacia University Programs):

Credits earned through this World Teacher’s Day promotion course/s are transferable and will be fully applied toward specific Acacia University degree and certificate programs, provided the student successfully completes the promotional course and subsequently processes a formal application for the designated programmatic pathway.

While the Registrar of the University retains general discretion over the granting of transfer credits, with oversight by the respective Dean and the Provost, Acacia University confirms that credits for these specific promotional courses will be recognized and applied upon the student’s formal acceptance into one of the designated programmatic pathways. Transferability maps strictly to the following programmatic pathways:

This includes, but is not limited to, the university’s standard refund and cancellation policies, academic integrity standards, and student grievance procedures as published in the current Acacia University Catalog for AY 2026-27.
  • Advertising & Consumer Protection: This promotion is executed in compliance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines regarding promotional pricing and truth-in-advertising. The stated promotional price of $390.00 per course is free of hidden fees; however, standard technology, textbook/s, or material requirements applicable to all courses remain the responsibility of the student.
